The United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) is the world’s largest sustainability initiative serving to strengthen the social responsibility of companies. As a member, VBG Group commits to actively work with sustainability matters and annually report the progress of our sustainability efforts to the UN. The membership also involves a responsibility to promote the UN’s 17 sustainable development goals and ten principles connected to international conventions on human rights, labor law, the environment, and fighting corruption.

“Through our membership, we are showing our support for the UN Global Compact and committing to improve our operations sustainable and long-term”, says Christina Holgerson responsible for sustainability at VBG Group.

The UN Global Compact was initiated in 1999 by former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. With more than 15,000 participants across 165 countries, the UNGC is the largest sustainability initiative in the world.
