Veg of Lund has today signed an agreement with the Swedish logistics and transports company NTEX for warehouse and transport management. The aim is to jointly develop efficient and sustainable transport solutions, primarily within Europe, to meet Veg of Lund’s growing transport needs.

Veg of Lund’s plant-based drink DUG® was launched in May 2021 and as volumes have grown, the company’s need for an efficient logistics partner has increased. The new agreement creates the conditions for a flexible solution that can be quickly adapted to the needs of both Veg of Lund and the company’s customers.

“Among the potential logistics partners we looked at, NTEX has the flexibility and ability to tailor shipments to our customers in Europe, Asia and North America that we are looking for. NTEX also has in-house staff, a proven and ambitious sustainability work and is at the forefront of e-commerce solutions,” says Per Henrik Johnson, Head of Supply Chain at Veg of Lund. “Increased volumes give us the opportunity to develop cost-effective total solutions together that also contribute to a reduced carbon footprint.”

NTEX’s total solutions for Veg of Lund involve both global transport and warehousing – something that starts with a tailor-made warehouse adaptation in Malmö.

“Our flexibility allows us to optimise and tailor according to our customers’ different needs. For example, this can involve replacing traditional truck transport with cost-effective alternatives such as rail and sea transport to minimise the carbon footprint,” says Thomas Ström, founder and CEO of NTEX.

NTEX, majority owned by Stena AB, is today one of Sweden’s largest privately owned logistics operators with headquarters in Gothenburg and about 650 employees.

“It is both exciting and stimulating that Veg of Lund has chosen us as a partner. It demonstrates our strength; combining the security and competence of a large company with the flexibility of a small one”, says Thomas Ström.
