Veg of Lund’s board appoints chairwoman and the nomination committee submits a proposal to the board for the 2023 annual general meeting

The board of Veg of Lund AB has appointed board member Eva Tornberg as chair of the board of Veg of Lund for the period until the company’s annual general meeting on 11 May 2023. Eva Tornberg takes office with immediate effect.

Furthermore, the company’s nomination committee announces its proposal concerning, among other things, the chairman of the board and other board members for decision at the annual general meeting on 11 May 2023.

The nomination committee proposes:

  • That the number of board members should be five
  • New election of Johan Möllerström as member of the Board and chairman
  • Re-election of Rolf Bjerndell, Anders Gustafsson, Anders Hättmark and Eva Tornberg as members of the Board. Roger Johansson and Linda Neckmar have declined re-election.
  • Re-election of audit firm KPMG.

Information about Eva Tornberg
Eva Tornberg has a Ph.D in Engineering and is a professor. She is one of the founders of Veg of Lund, board member since 2016 and is Head of Veg of Lund’s research and development. Her previous experience includes the position as Research Manager at what was then the Meat Research Institute, which was wholly owned by Scan AB. She has extensive research experience with a total of 189 scientific publications and five patents.

Information about Johan Möllerström
Johan Möllerström, born in 1967, is an experienced CEO with a demonstrated history of accelerated business growth. Johan has an MBA with a degree in financial strategy from Lund University. Working life in the financial industry with extensive experience in creating business and financial management. He has extensive experience in environmental technology from his time at Malmberg Water, where Johan grew the company organically from SEK 150 million to SEK 500 million over ten years.

Strong experience from business development with competence in negotiation, business planning, international business, entrepreneurship and sales management. He has been the CEO of OptiCept Technologies, a company listed on the Nasdaq First North Growth Market, which he left in May 2022. Currently he is the CEO of Plexian AB, which has been listed on the Nasdaq First North Growth Market since 19 December 2022. Together with his brother, Mr. Möllerström runs the Family Office where the focus is investments in early phase companies. Johan Möllerström is chairman of Sensodetect AB, listed on Spotlight, as well as for some private companies that may be listed in the future.

The nomination committee’s other proposals for Veg of Lund’s annual general meeting on 11 May 2023 will be stated in the notice, to be published within the statutory time.

The nomination committee for the 2023 annual general meeting consists of:

  • Kaj Söderström, representing Reosurf AB and chairman of the nomination committee
  • Anders Hättmark, representing Confidera Syd Aktiebolag
  • Torbjörn Malmsjö, representing Anders Färnqvist

The election committee represents approximately 15.3 percent of the votes in Veg of Lund as on 31 January 2023.
