Contract for City Line Development in Bergen awarded to Veidekke

The Municipality of Bergen has commissioned Veidekke Entreprenør AS to build the 2.4 km section of the City Line from Wergeland to Fantoft. The contract price is approximately MNOK 292, VAT excluded. 
 
Included in the contract is the construction of three stations and two tunnels. The work will start in January 2008.
 
Veidekke's contract is one of five contracts for the City Line which will be signed in Bergen today and includes a 1,340-metre open section, two tunnels (315 and 475 metres long) and four 270-metre concrete culverts.


At the peak of construction, Veidekke will have about 75 people working on the project.


Construction will start at the end of January 2008 and will be completed by 17 January 2010.
