A total of 36,000 square metres is to be developed. Obs Stormarked (shopping centre) is at present in the basement and will move up into the old warehouse along with Obs Sport. Obs Bygg (building materials) will then move down into the basement.

The completion date for the new shopping centre on the ground floor is 6 May next year, while the work on the basement will be finished by September next year.

In addition to converting the warehouse, Veidekke will build a new roundabout in Haakon VIII's gate and widen Håkon Magnussons gate to make room for four traffic lanes.

This is a turnkey contract with a value of about NOK 160 million, excl. VAT.
