Major Waste Management Contract for Veidekke Gjenvinning

Veidekke Gjenvinning AS (recycling) has signed a nationwide waste agreement with the Olav Thon Group. The agreement includes waste from approximately 350 non-residential buildings, shopping centres and from the Rainbow hotels. The contract has a value of approximately NOK 50 million and is initially valid for a period of two years.
Most of the contract volume comes from Oslo and neighbouring areas, and will be handled by the company Wilhelmsen & Sønner A/S, which is situated in Oslo. This company is wholly owned by Veidekke Gjenvinning.


In parts of the country where Veidekke Gjenvinning has no facilities of their own, the contract will be handled in cooperation with Retura A/S.

Through this contract Veidekke Gjenvinning will increase its competitive powers and nationwide position substantially.

Through acquisitions or new establishments of as many as 23 companies, Veidekke Gjenvinning has reached an annual turnover of approximately NOK 350 million. Today, the company is a market leader within the fields of heavy building waste and industrial waste as well as waste product development.
