"It was naturally with regret that I and all our colleagues at Hoffmann and Veidekke learned that managing director Jørgen Huno Rasmussen had chosen new challenges outside the Veidekke Group. On the other hand, it is with a certain amount of pride that I register that one of Denmark's well-known industrial companies has chosen its new president and CEO from our ranks," says Mr. Venold.

"Losing our most able colleagues is always difficult, but nonetheless something that cannot always be avoided. Capable leaders are in short supply in most markets and capable people can also be tempted by new challenges. However, at Veidekke and Hoffmann we are fortunate in having a number of capable leaders and it is therefore a pleasure to be able to announce at the same time that we have already found his successor. Torben Bjørk Nielsen, director of Hoffmann's building operations on Sjælland (Zealand) and member of its management team, will take over immediately as managing director of Hoffmann and, for an interim period, will also continue as director of the Byg Øst region," says Mr. Venold.

Torben Bjørk Nielsen is 44 years old and married with two children. He came to Hoffmann from the position of director in NCC Byg Øst. He has previously held other managerial positions in NCC and its predecessor Armton A/S.
