Merger between Ramirent and Altima

Veidekke ASA owns 32.5 per cent of the Finnish listed company Ramirent Oyj, which is a leading company within machinery and equipment hire. Today, Ramirent and NCC's hire company Altima AB have proposed a merger between the two companies.
This merger will result in a company with a leading market position in Finland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark and a number of East-European countries. The new group will be among the largest players in the European market for machinery and equipment hire with a turnover of approximately 313 million EUR and 2,400 employees.


Today, Ramirent is listed on the Helsinki stock exchange and is also aiming at a listing on the Stockholm stock exchange.


By the proposed terms of trade Veidekke will achieve an ownership share of 16.7 per cent. Veidekke is positive to the proposed merger, which will result in a big and competitive unit within its field. The new company will have a wide ownership structure, which will provide a basis for a liquid share
