The car park will have room for 640 cars and be located in two parallel rock caverns. Each cavern will have a length of 200 metres and two floors of parking space.

Access to the car park will be from Vestre Murallmenning. There will be pedestrian exits to Østre Murallmenning, Markeveien 4 and Valkendorfsgate.

Archaeological surveys will start on 10 June. The work on the access tunnel will start in August, and the car park is scheduled for completion by 1 March 2005.

The work will be carried out as a turnkey contract at a price of NOK 105 million excluding VAT.
