New Contracts for SEK 146 Million for Veidekke in Sweden
Railway Brigde, Mölnlycke
For the municipality of Härryda, Vecon is building a new railway bridge and raising the track profile at the Mölnlycke station. This contract also includes construction of two round-abouts, construction of a new station area for local trains, new platforms, a double railway track and a pedestrian / bicycle tunnel. The contract value is SEK 49.5 million. Construction started in the middle of October this year and will be completed by the end of June 2003.
Highway 1697 Kila - Dannike
Vecon has been awarded the contract for construction of 1 km highway including pedestrian and bicycle lanes, a round-about, a road bridge across the river Lillå and two railway bridges across the highway. The client is the Public Road Administration, Region West. The contract value is SEK 19.6 million. The construction work has just began and will be completed by 31 May 2003
Sigma
The Sigma project is an office building in Gothenborg with a floor area of 14 850 m2. Vecon has a contract for exterior wall and roof constructions amounting to SEK 60 million. The work is scheduled to start in February 2002 and completion date has been set for 1 March 2003.
Other contracts
Vecon has also won additional contracts which include: stabilisation work and erosion protection of the river Säve in the centre of Partille (SEK 2,9 mill.); renovation of a library in Gothenburg (SEK 1 million); a contract for foundation works in connection with a new office building for Volvo Trucks (SEK 6.7 million); strengthening and foundation works as well as a new A4 line for the Store Enso Mölndal paper mill (SEK 2.7 million); and water, sewage and road systems a new housing area at Torslanda (SEK 3.2 million).
