The contracts are varied and reflect the scope of Veidekke's local expertise.

Veidekke's branch in Sandane has been commissioned by the Sogn og Fjordane county authorities to build Stryn Upper Secondary School. The contract price is NOK 88 million and this is the branch's biggest contract so far.

Thanks to this project the school, hitherto spread over a number of different buildings in Stryn, will be assembled in one location. The contract includes the construction of a 6,000 m2 new building and the conversion and renovation of 3,000 m2 of existing buildings in addition to the foundation work for 900 m2 of parking facilities.

Veidekke, in cooperation with architects Aaland Arkitektkontor AS in Stryn, won this turnkey contract in keen competition with three other pre-qualified companies. Construction starts in March 2006 and the work will be completed by the time school starts in August 2007.

Veidekke's Sandane branch has also signed a contract with the Sogn og Fjordane county authorities to build a gas-fuelled ferry simulator at Måløy Upper Secondary School. This is a turnkey contract amounting to NOK 6 million excluding VAT

Veidekke's branch in Sogndal is going to build two shops with 5,000 m2 floor space at Kaupanger for Elkjøp and Bohus, represented by Sør Eiendom AS. This turnkey contract has a value of NOK 24 million excluding VAT. Construction starts in March and will be completed in November 2006.

This branch is also working on the construction of three in-situ cast bridges on the E 16 between Lærdal and Borlaug. The bridges are 144, 32 and 98 metres long. The contract price is NOK 33.1 million excluding VAT. Veidekke is the principal contractor for this work, which has been commissioned by the Public Roads Administration and will be completed in March 2008.
