New Members of Veidekke's Board of Directors
Three members of the board stood for re-election in this year. Christian Bruusgaard and Kristian Omsland were re-elected as chairman of the board and board member respectively. The third member, Helge B. Andresen, had chosen not to stand for re-election this year, after being on Veidekke's board of directors since 1984. His main reason for doing so was that he holds the position of Chairman of the DnB (Den norske Bank)'s Supervisory Committee, and he believed this might limit Veidekke's chances of conducting business with the bank in future. In his speech, Mr. Bruusgaard emphasised that in all these years Mr. Andresen has been a highly esteemed member of the board of directors, who has made an invaluable contribution to the development of the company.
As a Scandinavian company, Veidekke wishes to have representatives from all the Scandinavian countries on its board of directors. Ole T. Krogsgaard, former chairman of the board of Veidekke's Danish subsidiary, Hoffmann AS, is already on the board. Mr. Bruusgaard was therefore very pleased to welcome Mr. Dahlin as first deputy board member. Mr. Dahlin has recently retired from his position as managing director of Nordisk Renting, a major Swedish property development company. He has extensive experience from Swedish construction and property companies, and has also previously been a member of the board of directors of Norwegian listed company Avantor ASA.
Veidekke's board of directors now consists of the following:

Members elected by the shareholders: Peder Løvenskiold, Håkon Langballe, Hilde Aasheim, Kristian Omsland, Martin Mæland and Ole T. Krogsgaard
Members elected by and from the employees: Jan Kopstad, Steinar Krogstad and Ove Ågedal
First deputy board member: Göte Dahlin
Second deputy board member: Terje R. Venold
