Statoil has awarded Veidekke ASA the frame contract for maintenance and modifications of the properties and industrial plants in the northern parts of Rogaland County, which Statoil either owns or has the technical operating responsibility for. The contract runs for four years with an option for two more years. The contract value is approximately NOK 80 - 100 million, options excluded.
Veidekke will have responsibility for large and small maintenance and modification tasks such as maintenance of buildings, internal roads and infrastructure, snow clearing, ditch digging, levelling, concrete work, electro-engineering works related to the buildings, etc. The contract covers the Kårstø gas treatment plant, and Statoil's plants at Bokn, Bygnes, Fosen, Kalstø, Kårstø and Snurrevarden, as well as adjoining pipe installations in trenches and tunnels.

Veidekke's District Haugesund will be responsible for carrying out the contract. District Manager Ove Nedrebø is very pleased that Veidekke has won this contract.  "We know Statoil well, and after having worked for them for many years during the construction of the plant at Kårstø, we feel that this is recognition of our good cooperation. Statoil is a demanding as well as inspiring customer, which helps us develop further as well. We have many qualified employees in our district, and with this contract we will secure interesting tasks for them for a long time ahead," says Mr. Nedrebø.
