Veidekke: Building combined sports facility and grocery store in Oslo
Veidekke’s subsidiary Seby AS will build a combined sports facility and grocery store for Ready Idrettsforening in western Oslo. The grocery premises are to be used by NorgesGruppen. The contract is a design and build contract with interaction valued at just over NOK 180 million excluding VAT.
The commission involves building a combined artificial ice rink and artificial grass pitch reserved for children and youth sports which the club realizes in collaboration with the Eckbo Legacy.The project named Eckbobanen also includes workout facilities, changing rooms, garage for the ice resurfacing machine, offices, kiosk, new audio and lighting system and upgrades of the outdoor area. Finally, Veidekke will build a grocery store (Meny) approximately 2,000 m2 in size with covered parking.

Preliminary work has already started and completion of the entire project is scheduled for October 2024.
