Veidekke: Building homes for Selvaag and Nordr in Oslo
Nordr and Selvaag Bolig have awarded Veidekke the contract to build the first stage comprising 91 environmentally certified apartments and underground parking in the project Lille Løren Park in eastern Oslo. The commission is a design and build contract valued at NOK 235 million excluding VAT.
“We really appreciate the commission. This is an interesting project that we have been a part of developing since its inception, just as we prefer in order to create excellent projects in partnership with our customers. The fact that the homes will be environmentally certified is also something we really appreciate as the executing contractor,” says Director Anders W. Haugen of Veidekke Bygg Oslo.
Løren has become like a pleasant village in the middle of Oslo. Here, a new and meticulously planned city district has emerged where there previously was an industrial area and military camp. When everything is completed, Lille Løren Park will have around 350 apartments certified in accordance with the BREEAM-NOR environmental standard and a kindergarten. The first 91 homes vary from 1 room apartments of 40 m2 to 5 room apartments 110 m2 in size. Lille Løren Park will have an elevated location with good sun and light conditions and a new city park as the next-door neighbour.
“We have had a good partnership with Veidekke on several projects and are pleased that they will be building for us here too. Selvaag Bolig has built more than two thousand homes at Løren since the year 2000, and Lille Løren Park will be one of the final projects in the new city district,” says Øystein Klungland, Vice President of Selvaag Bolig.

Construction will start after the summer holiday, with occupation scheduled for the summer of 2024. Read more about the project here. The contract is included in Veidekke’s order backlog for the second quarter.
