Veidekke has been commissioned by KKB Fastigheter AB to build 124 new rental apartments in central Kävlinge in Scania, Sweden. With construction starting in October 2023, homes in the Pilevall, Exporten 54 project are expected to be ready for occupancy from Q4 2025. The design and build contract is valued at approx. SEK 217 million.

“We are very happy to be able to press the start button on this important project in the Stationsstaden district”, says Mikael Strand, managing director of KKB.

“Pilevall brings growth and sustainable development to our community. The urban exterior will contribute attractive value to central Kävlinge and become an identity marker. The location near the train station gives easy access to sustainable travel and proximity to such services as groceries, pharmacy, health centre, library, restaurants, swimming pool and training facilities”, notes Strand.

Helping to link central sections of Kävlinge, the Pilevall, Exporten 54 project is centrally located by the railway station and neighbours the swimming pool and the municipal building, both recent additions to the community.

“We are excited to be able to contribute to the development of the Kävlinge town centre together with KKB Fastigheter, and to build the winning contribution to the 2020 architectural competition”, says Emil Norén of Veidekke Construction Sweden.

The contract is included in the Q2 2023 order book.
