Veidekke's subsidiary Veidekke Gjenvinning AS has agreed to acquire all shares in Ødegaard Olav Transport AS.

Ødegaard Transport is located in the Fredrikstad region and operations include the rental of containers and collection and transport of waste. The company has 14 employees and an annual turnover of approximately NOK 26 million.

"The acquisition of Ødegaard Transport is part of Veidekke Gjenvinning's expansion strategy and will enable us to become a total supplier in Østfold county," says Max Trandem, general manager of Veidekke Gjenvinning.

The sale is a consequence of the decision by owner and general manager Olav Ødegård to step down.

"To us it was important to find a buyer who could further develop the operations of Ødegaard Transport based on the present organization and local presence, and we are therefore very content that it is Veidekke who acquires Ødegaard Transport," says Ødegård.

The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchasing price.
