Veidekke Bostad has acquired two larger sites that will make room for a total of around 400 new homes in Sweden. One is in Sundbyberg in Stockholm, while the other is in Kviberg in Gothenburg. It is expected that building will start on both sites in 2018.

The site in Stockholm has been acquired from Stora Ursviks KB, and is in the Sundbyberg district north-west of the centre of Stockholm. Veidekke is planning to build 150 Swan-certified apartments of varying sizes, in addition to a day care centre and commercial premises, all to be built by Veidekke Entreprenad. The sites are included in Veidekke's site portfolio from Q4 2016.

The sites in Gothenburg have been purchased from Suthema AB and Higab, and are located in Kviberg a few kilometres north-east of the centre of Gothenburg. Here there will be around 250 Swan-certified apartments that will also be built by Veidekke Entreprenad. These sites are included in Veidekke's site portfolio from Q1 2017.

Veidekke Bostad's business is experiencing strong growth, and is currently at a level of around 1,000 homes sold per year.
