Veidekke ASA : Land grant in central Stockholm for Veidekke and Oscar Properties
Housing developers Veidekke Bostad and Oscar Properties have been granted land at Karl Staaffs place, at the junction of Birger Jarlsgatan and Regeringsgatan. Plans are now being drawn up for 55 new apartments and 500 m² of offices.
Eriksberg Exploatering AB, jointly owned by Veidekke Bostad AB and Oscar Properties Holding AB (publ), has been granted land by Stockholm City Council for the construction of 55 apartments and 500 m² office space on parts of the Norrmalm 1:131 plot. The site - located at the junction of Birger Jarlsgatan and Regeringsgatan, Norrmalm in Stockholm, is better known as Karl Staaffs place. The total purchase price is preliminary estimated to be SEK 171 million.
"This is a very exciting site to work on, and in collaboration with the City Council we will draw up a project which will enhance the place," says Per-Martin Eriksson, CEO at Veidekke Bostad.
Veidekke and Oscar Properties expect to be able to start detailed planning during 2013. The company will produce a proposal for a housing development in consultation with the City. No decision has yet been made as to the design. Construction is preliminarily planned to start in 2016 with the first residents moving in 2018.
