Veidekke will take part in the development of the Nya Hovås area in Gothenburg. Through the agreement, Veidekke will acquire one third of the project and expect a turnover of approximately 1 billion NOK.

A total of 1,200 apartments and 25,000 square meters are planned in the project Nya Hovås. Veidekke's partners in this extensive project are Skanska and HSB Gothenburg. The project is a result of an open dialogue with the business community, neighbours and other interested parties. Based on more than 8,000 received proposals, a detailed plan has been prepared for the area.

"We are looking forward to participate in the project and contribute to create a vivid city area. We will now concentrate on getting this exciting project in process," says regional manager Olaf Olausson of Veidekke Bostad.

Construction is planned to start in the spring of 2014 with a development period of 7 to 10 years.
