Veidekke ASA : Veidekke to build commercial building in Sola
D. Danielsen Forus AS has awarded Veidekke's subsidiary, Block Berge Bygg AS, the contract to build a logistics centre with refrigeration and freezer storage facilities and offices. This will be a turnkey contract valued at NOK 137 million, excluding VAT.
The new building will be located at Forus in Sola municipality. The building will have a total area of around 11,800 m² over four storeys. There will be around 30 workplaces in the warehouse section, while the office will accommodate a total of 93 spaces. In addition to D. Danielsen Forus AS' employees, some of the offices will be leased.
The project is a cooperative effort between the client, architects Arkitektkontoret Vest AS in Sandnes and Block Berge Bygg AS. The building will be constructed with load-bearing concrete element façades in polished concrete, and the solution provides a good basis for building an energy efficient building with energy class B.
Construction has started, and the building will be ready for takeover in October 2014.
