Veidekke ASA: Home sales of NOK 2,05 billion in the second quarter
Veidekke sold a total of 554 homes during the second quarter of 2015. Sales remain high in both Norway and Sweden.
Veidekke's housing development activity at the end of the second quarter of 2015 is high in both Norway and Sweden, with good sales and more homes being produced. A total of 554 homes were sold at a value of NOK 2,05 billion.
The trend from the first quarter continues. Activity is high in Sweden in all our focus areas, comprising Gothenburg, Skåne and Greater Stockholm In Norway activity is high in the areas around Oslo. In the other regions, activity varies from project to project.
"The great interest in our homes has given us the opportunity to expedite several projects, and we see that the number of homes in production continues to grow," says CEO and President Arne Giske of Veidekke. "In Sweden sales are at an all-time high, including in projects that will start production in Q3 and Q4. We would however have liked to have more projects ready for sale in the Oslo area to satisfy the great demand for housing here."
The number of homes currently in production is approx 1,874, of which Veidekke's share is 1,381. The corresponding figure for the second quarter of 2014 was 1,453, where Veidekke's share was 1,079. The overall sales ratio for projects under construction is 79% (73%). The overall sales value in the quarter was NOK 2,05 billion, of which Veidekke's share was NOK 1,59 billion.
