Veidekke has won a contract from Bane NOR to replace the contact line network in the open air section between Lier and Brakerøya and in Lieråsen tunnel between Drammen and Asker. The contract is an execution contract valued at NOK 143 million excluding VAT.

“We are grateful for the confidence shown in us and for yet another contract for Bane NOR. This job suits us well as we will be able to draw on the experience from the work on the recently concluded project for a new contact line system on the Kongsvingerbanen railway. We are also familiar with the section as we installed mast foundations there in 2020. Work will start as soon as this January and completion is planned for later in the year,” says manager Magnus S. Kristensen of Veidekke Bane.

Veidekke Bane was established in 1999 and is a countrywide player in the renewal and maintenance of railways and tramways. The 110 employees have a high level of expertise in all technical railway disciplines and take on contracts all over the country.

The contract is included in the order book for the fourth quarter of 2020.
