Veidekke ASA: New construction contract for Veidekke in Stockholm

Veidekke Entreprenad has been commissioned byAB Storstockholms Lokaltrafik (SL) to perform foundation and concrete work for a new tram depot at Lindingö outside Stockholm. The value of the contract is SEK 150 million excluding VAT.

 "We are pleased to have been given the confidence and opportunity to further develop our good cooperation with SL. We had a major contract in connection with construction of Tvärbanan in Stockholm a couple of years ago (approx. SEK 440 million). We are also very pleased that our collaborative model is appreciated and preferred," says Anders Bergsten with Veidekke Entreprenad Anläggning Öst.

The new tram depot will be next to AGA station and shall be designed to accommodate 30 town trams operating on the Lidingö line. Construction will start in April, and Veidekke's part of the project will be completed in May 2015.
