Veidekke ASA: To build Helsehuset in Haugesund

Veidekke Entreprenør has signed a contract with Helsehuset Haugesund AS to build a large, new commercial building in the centre of Haugesund. The building will combine retail and office premises as well as flats, and will mainly house health-related undertakings. This will be a turnkey contract valued at NOK 175 million, excluding VAT.

The total floor space of the building will be approximately 10,500 m2. Apart from health-related undertakings, the building will have retail space on the ground floor and basement parking. The building will be on bedrock with partly load-bearing concrete element external walls, prefabricated columns and beams and hollow floor elements. Lift and ventilation shafts and stairwells will be in concrete elements to provide reinforcement. Some outer walls will be of timber with plaster and sheet metal cladding

Tenants in the building will include Privatsykehuset Haugesund, Haugesund Medisinske Senter, Øyenlegevirksomheten Vismed AS and Haugesund municipality with sheltered accommodation over two storeys. The principal is Helsehuset Haugesund AS and is a newly-established company owned by Caiano Eiendom AS, TJRS AS, Vismed AS, Privatsykehuset Haugesund AS, MRSA AS, Nokus AS, Shannon Invest AS and Laastad Invest AS.

Construction has commenced, and the building is to be completed in September 2015.
