Veidekke has been commissioned by Wihlborgs Fastigheter AB to build a mobility hub as part of the Vista office building in Malmö. The collaborative design and build contract is valued at approx. SEK 255 million.

Vista, Wihlborg's fourth office building in Malmö’s Hyllie district, will be the first to greet travellers crossing the bridge into Sweden from Denmark. Construction start for the new office building is planned for autumn 2023, and Veidekke expects to complete the contract in late 2024.

Veidekke's project is a five-storey newbuild comprising Vista’s lower floors, which will house approx. 430 parking spaces, 45 charging points and provision for more points, solutions for car and bicycle sharing and bicycle parking with changing and shower facilities. The hub will provide direct access to stairwells and office premises. The assignment also includes project planning for the offices that will inhabit the remaining ten floors. The building will be certified in accordance with the Miljöbyggnad Gold, WELL and NollCO2 environmental building standards.

“We are excited to have been entrusted with building this inspiring project together with Wihlborgs. Drawing on every expertise, we look forward to collaborating closely for the good of the project,” says Charlotta Nilsén at Veidekke Construction Sweden.

The contract is included in the order book for the current quarter.
