Veidekke's subsidiary Arcona has been awarded the contract to build Glömsta school and sports hall in Flemingsberg in Huddinge municipality. The assignment is a collaboration project with a target price of SEK 215 million excluding VAT.

Glömsta school will be an elementary school for 720 pupils. The 9,400 m2 school will have a modern layout and a learning environment with no corridors that provides great flexibility. Arcona is also to build a sports hall in connection with the school. The school will meet the requirements towards passive houses and will be classified as a silver level Environmental Building. With ground heating and solar collectors, energy consumption will be a mere 25 kWh/m2 per year.

"We have chosen Arcona as our partner for this project as they have had vast experience with collaboration contracts from an early stage and were also able to present the best organization and best way to manage the project," says Johann Månsson, project manager with Huge Fastigheter AB.
