Veidekke ASA: To reconstruct Strömshuset in Gothenburg for Vasakronan
Veidekke has been commissioned by Vasakronan to perform reconstruction and expansion of Strömshuset in central Gothenburg. The collaborative design and build contract is valued at approx. SEK 185 million. The project is scheduled to be completed by February 2022.

The project includes the reconstruction of parts of the exterior and office space. All current central ventilation, heating, cooling and electricity installations will be replaced. In order to perform renovation of the exterior, certain parts of the building must be demolished and reerected. In this context, plans include a major expansion of approx. 1,800 m2, which will hold office premises as well as some technical rooms. The property currently comprises approx. 9,200 m2.
The contract is included in the first-quarter 2020 order book.
