Veidekke Entreprenad has been awarded the contract by NIAM AB to redevelop an office building in the centre of Malmö. 12,000 square metres of office space is to be modernized and upgraded, and will be certified as Miljöbyggnad Silver after the redevelopment. The contract is valued at SEK 116 million excluding VAT.

Veidekke was awarded the contract to redevelop the first stage of the Nora office block in 2013, and now the second stage awaits. Here too redevelopment will result in modern and flexible office spaces in a landscape solution, with a glass-ceiling atrium that ensures good lighting conditions for the offices.

"NIAM is a leading property company in the Nordic region, and provides high quality office premises. It is therefore important that our suppliers comply with our stringent requirements toward quality, cost-effectiveness and professionalism. That fact that Veidekke once again have won the contract is because they live up to our expectations," says Hans Lisserkers, who heads NIAM's project development.

In addition to the principal NIAM, partners are Horisont Arkitekter and Allegro Projekt. The contract will be implemented as an interaction project between Veidekke, the principal and the involved fitters.

Demolition started in April, and the first office spaces in the new premises will be ready for use in the autumn of 2016.
