Veidekke’s subsidiary Arcona has been commissioned by the real estate fund manager Genesta to renovate and remodel the property Svea Artilleri on Lidingövägen in Stockholm. The collaborative design and build contract is valued at SEK 219 million. Work starts in May 2020 and is scheduled to be completed in May 2022.

The remodelling/renovation will transform Svea Artilleri into a modern office property of 12,800 square meters, including new technical systems and flexible space solutions. Genesta acquired the property in 2018, and Arcona has assisted in connection with the acquisition and feasibility studies, as well as research and planning.

“Svea Artilleri is a great office building in an excellent location. We now look forward to further improving the building, in collaboration with Arcona,” says Ted Söderlund, Genesta's Head of Investment Manager.

“We are looking forward to start construction in this project, after almost two years of feasibility studies, research and planning. From the acquisition of the property onwards, we have collaborated very well with Genesta, and we are now excited to see the project evolve, says Ricard Heindow, project manager at Arcona.
