Veidekke ASA: Veidekke has submitted the lowest tender for a major transport contract

Veidekke Entreprenør AS (Construction Norway) has submitted the lowest tender for construction of the new E39 motorway between Svegatjørn in Os and Fanavegen south of Bergen in Hordaland county. Veidekke has offered a tender price of NOK 2,298 million excluding VAT.

The contract comprises construction of 13 kilometres of four-lane motorway, 10.7 kilometres of which is in tunnels. The Norwegian Public Roads Administration is now reviewing and checking the calculations in the seven tenders it has received. Choice of contractor and award of contract are expected to be announced before the summer holidays in July.
