Veidekke ASA: Veidekke to build final stage of residential project at Ensjø

Veidekke Eiendom AS has awarded Veidekke Entreprenør AS the contract to build stages five and six of the Marienfryd residential project at Ensjø. The 133 flats have a total sale value of NOK 450 million. When the entire project is completed in 2015, it will comprise almost 400 homes.

Veidekke's Marienfryd project has been a success in the housing market with large, family-friendly outdoor areas and a location facing the new Tidemanns Park at Ensjø in Oslo. The whole project comprises a total of six building stages with 396 homes and approx. 290 indoor parking spaces. Stages 1-3 have been completed and are occupied, while stage four will be completed in the spring of 2014.

The final two contracts for building stages five and six include the construction of three blocks of flats with underground parking. Stage five comprises a six-storey block of flats with 50 three and four room flats and a day care centre on the ground floor (developed and owned by ESPIRA). The shell is nearing completion, and occupancy will be in the autumn of 2014. Stage six will have 83 two, three and four room flats in two five storey blocks. Here excavation has started, and everything is to be completed in the spring of 2015.

Veidekke is cooperating with the Norwegian Asthma and Allergy Association on building homes with a particularly good and healthy indoor climate. By making conscious choices and with well thought through solutions and materials, Veidekke is creating healthy homes.
