Veidekke ASA: Veidekke to build new track and stations on the Kolsåsbanen line

Veidekke Entreprenør has been commissioned by Kollektivtransportproduksjon AS to build the final section of almost 1.4 km of the Kolsåsbanen metro line with the stations Hauger and Kolsås in Bærum municipality. The value ­of the contract is NOK 182 million excluding VAT.

 

Kollektivtransportproduksjon (KTP) is upgrading the Kolsåsbanen line in Bærum to metro standard on the Jar to Kolsås stretch. This includes the extension of platforms to 120 metres to accommodate 6 carriage train sets, building flyovers at all crossings and installing conductor rails on the sleepers in conformity with the remaining metro network in Oslo.

The contract Veidekke has won includes the construction of 1,360 meters of new track, underpasses and flyovers, new stations ­ at Hauger and Kolsås in conformity with metro standard, new technical buildings at the two stations and new park and ride parking for approx. 200 vehicles at Kolsås station.

Included in the contract is also a culvert under the tracks at Toppåsveien and Brynsveien, and a new bridge in Høgåsveien in connection with the lowering of Hauger station. The work also includes electrical work at the stations, noise and visibility barriers and landscaping work at the station areas.

The project will commence in May 2013 and is to be completed in August 2014.
