This contract came at a very opportune time for Veidekke's operations in Stockholm, as the construction period coincides with the construction work on the new E-4 highway past Uppsala.

"To have two large construction projects situated so close to each other, will give positive synergy effects both to the co-ordination of purchases and the exploitation of our labour resources", says Mr. Göran P. Larson, Managing Director of Veidekke Stockholm AB.

The work on the project starts immediately, and according to plans it will be completed in summer 2005.

The Swiss company Von Roll Environmental Technology Ltd. heads the consortium and is responsible for the process mechanical part of the project. The company El & Industrimontage Svenska AB (EIAB) is responsible for water, heating and sanitary installations as well as electrical installations, and Veidekke Stockholm AB attends to all ground, concrete and construction work.
