Tungasletta 8 AS, which is owned by Agri Eiendom AS and Brødrene Kverneland AS, has signed a contract with Veidekke Entreprenør AS for the building of a complete car showroom and workshop for Kverneland Bil Trondheim. The turnkey contract is valued at NOK 71.2 million excluding VAT.

Felleskjøpet's old seed store of 8,600m2 will undergo environmental clearing, renovation and rebuilding, to become a fully modern and energy efficient car showroom and workshop. The car showroom and workshop will be 6,300m2 and the rest of the building will be leased out. In addition the old "Silo Building" will be extended from four to six storeys and leased out as offices. Building work starts at the end of May and the new car showroom and workshop will be ready at the end of May next year.

"Even though there was a competition on price for this contract, our expertise in energy smart building and our implementation model (Involvement Planning) were very important in helping us to win this contract. This is an important assignment for our ongoing development of expertise, because we can see that customers increasingly want to work closely with us in developing new and energy efficient solutions together," says Ståle Brovold, District Manager of Veidekke Entreprenør in Trondheim.
