Veidekke Stockholm AB has signed a long-term agreement with Europark AB to develop parking grounds in Stockholm and the neighbouring areas. The first stage of the agreement includes 500 - 1,000 parking spaces below ground spread between two projects; one at Liljeholmtorget and one at Eriksbergsplan, both in Stockholm.

Total contract value for the first stage is approximately SEK 200 million, and the construction at the Liljeholmtorget will start in 2003.

"This agreement means a break-through for us in the growing heavy construction market in Stockholm," says Göran P. Larson, Managing Director of Veidekke Stockholm AB.

"In the course of the next few years, there will be an extensive development of infrastructure projects in the regions of Stockhom and Mälardalen. Veidekke has already been awarded a contract for E-4 past Uppsala, and has started the construction work. With this order, Veidekke has strengthened its position and expanded its areas of operations," says Mr. Larson.
