Veidekke company building for Subsea 7 at Forus
Veidekke's subsidiary company Block Berge Bygg AS has been commissioned to erect a new office building at Forus for Subsea 7 Eiendom AS. The value of the total contract is NOK 206 million, ex VAT.
"With our concept, based on a great deal of technology developed in house and the advanced use of concrete sections, it is always a pleasure to enter into contracts like this," says Eyvin M. Olsen, Managing Director of Block Berge Bygg AS.
"We see once again that a higher degree of industrialisation means greater competitiveness, with the emphasis on direct building costs and effective build time," adds Olsen.
The building will be at Forus Næringspark and will total 14,500 m² over 5 floors. The architects are Aros Arkitekter AS of Sandnes. The office building will have space for about 570 employees.
This is a turnkey contract worth NOK 206 million, excluding VAT. Work on the site starts in April and the first office workers will move in during December 2009.
