Veidekke's contract is for the first stage of the development of a former container terminal in Oslo and covers an area of approximately 8,500 square metres. The work includes sheet piling, excavation and handling of both clean and contaminated earth, as well as the construction of a basement car park built of in situ poured concrete.

The work will start at the beginning of June and is scheduled for completion by April 2006.

About 30 of Veidekke's own skilled workers will be employed on this contract.
