Veidekke Gjenvinning AS and Retura AS have signed an agreement for a nation-wide co-operation in the waste processing market, aimed at industrial waste. The purpose of the agreement is to win over the major national chains and companies on the basis of Veidekke Gjenvinning and Retura's total solutions. This represents a milestone in this market, as the joint venture today represents the only nation-wide company offering total solutions.


Retura has more than 20 owners, which are mainly major inter-municipal companies that focus on industry waste. These companies have long experience from the business and strong local connections. Many are market leaders in their geographic regions.


Together, Veidekke Gjenvinning and Retura have at their disposal operational units for collecting and receiving waste in all large population areas in Norway. Veidekke Gjenvinning's geographic zone covers approximately 70% of the population and Retura covers approximately 30%. The owners of Veidekke Gjenvinning and Retura represent a turnover of approximately NOK 500 million within the industrial waste segment.


The waste processing market is developing day by day towards fewer and larger units. The market's clients are developing in the same way in that an increasing number of them are becoming parts of national chains or merging into large companies.
