Veidekke hires compliance director

Izabella Salicath has been appointed compliance director with Veidekke ASA. She comes from the position as Chief Compliance Officer with GIEK, where she has worked for the past two years.

"We have conducted a thorough and good process to find the right individual to head a field that is of great importance to Veidekke. With her extensive experience in the area, Izabella has all the right prerequisites to head Veidekke's compliance work," says CEO and President Arne Giske.

Izabella Salicath has worked with compliance at the Norwegian Export Credit Guarantee Agency (GIEK) since June 2015. She has previously held positions as head of compliance with Abbvie/Abbot, head of compliance services at KPMG in Norway, head of compliance and legal with Ikano Bank, and compliance manager with pharmaceutical company Schering-Plough. Izabella graduated as a lawyer from the University of Oslo, with additional courses from BI Norwegian School of Management.

"With strong emphasis on compliance from the board and senior management, Veidekke already has a good basis to further develop the area. Veidekke is an interesting company and an important stakeholder in society, and I'm looking forward to heading Veidekke's compliance work. This work will be continuous and take a long view, and will hopefully also contribute to develop the field in the entire industry," Izabella Salicath says.

Izabella Salicath will take up her new post on 26 February. The position is new, and will report to EVP Lars Erik Lund.
