Veidekke is Building Two New Housing Projects in Trondheim

Veidekke Entreprenør has started construction of two new housing projects in Trondheim. The Lade Entré project, with 126 apartments, has a contract value of NOK 94 million excluding VAT and the developers are Veidekke Eiendom AS and EBO Eiendom AS. The Nerby'n project, with 26 apartments, has a value of NOK 22 million excluding VAT and the developer is EBO Eiendom AS. Both projects are turnkey contracts.
The Lade Entré project is situated on the former site of Lade Tipro and the Nobø factories. The old industrial building has been torn down to make room for 26 apartments of sizes varying between 40 m2 and 90 m2 in 2 to 4-storey buildings.

The Nerby'n project is very unusual in that the apartments will be built in the courtyard of an existing block of houses in the centre of Trondheim and thus represents a densification of the area. The new apartments will be raised three storeys above ground in order to provide good light conditions and a view.

"This is a very interesting and exciting project. It reminds me of when we were children and built tree houses high up in the trees," says District Manager Ståle Brovold. "These two contracts, and the contract for a new refuse incineration plant at Rosten, mean that the present activity level here in Trondheim is most satisfactory," he says.
