358 senior Veidekke employees have bought a total of 1.2 million shares in the group. "This is really a clear signal that our managers have faith in the company, in spite of the challenging times our industry is going through," says President & CEO Terje R. Venold.

The 358 Veidekke managers bought 1,210,000 shares from the foundation Stiftelsen Veidekke ansattes Aksjekjøp (The Veidekke employee share trust) during the course of the subscription period 6 to 18 May. Just as last year, the employees could choose between two options: option A with 20% discount and partial assistance with finance, or option B with 30% discount and no assistance with finance. The maximum number of shares per employee was 4,500 and the shares have a three-year lock-in period.

"We offer our employees the opportunity to buy shares twice a year," says President & CEO Terje R. Venold. "Now in the spring the offer is made to our senior employees, while in the autumn we offer the opportunity to all employees. Once again, we are pleased to see how much interest there is in buying shares in the company. That shows great faith in the future and is important for both our commercial development and the company culture," concludes Venold.
