Veidekke Notes Results of Investigation

Kolo Veidekke a.s, of which Veidekke owns 80 per cent, has now received the results of the Norwegian Competition Authority's investigations into the asphalt industry and has taken note of the fact that the Authority has forwarded the matter to Økokrim, Norway's white collar crime unit.
"The investigations that we have carried out internally have not uncovered anything that points to a violation of the competition laws. We have taken note of the fact that the Competition Authority has come to another conclusion," says Mr. Kai Krüger Henriksen, Veidekke's Vice President Communication.

"Few of us want to be the object of investigations by Økokrim, but we will do everything we can to make their work as efficient and thorough as possible," he says.

Veidekke treats any suspicion of irregularity very seriously and it will always contribute as far as possible to clearing up such suspicions.

The information that has been given to Kolo Veidekke a.s relating to the matter will of course be thoroughly reviewed internally. Veidekke does not wish to speculate on possible consequences, but will make a point of familiarising itself with the matter.
