The Norwegian Public Roads Administration has chosen Allfarveg, which is 50 per cent owned by Sundt AS and Veidekke ASA, as the preferred bidder for the Public Private Partnership (PPP) project E39 Lyngdal - Flekkefjord
Allfarveg is a project company, which has been established for the purpose of carrying out the PPP project. The construction work will be executed in a joint venture between Veidekke Entreprenør AS, Brødrene Reme AS and Kruse Smith AS. In the operating phase Kolo Veidekke a.s will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the road. The project will be financed by the group's own capital in combination with external capital, which will be provided by DnB and other financing institutions.

"We are very pleased to be chosen as the preferred bidder for the PPP project. There is, however, still some work to be done before the contract can be signed, but we have every reason to believe that we will succeed in cooperation with the Public Roads Administration," says project manager Torgeir Øvstebø of Allfarveg.

Contract signature is expected to take place in April 2004, and the construction work will start as soon as the contract has been signed.
