Veidekke starts work on 90 apartments at Panorama in Sollentuna

Veidekke Entreprenad AB has now completed the planning phase of the 100 metre long concrete block containing 90 apartments the company won as a design and build order at Panorama in Sollentuna's Frestavägen/Sörmlandsgatan. The order is worth a total of SEK 240 million, of which the apartment block alone accounts for SEK 125 million.

Building starts on October 7, and is expected to be completed in the spring of 2012. 90% of the apartments are already sold.

In addition to the apartment block, four high-rise buildings containing 82 apartments are also part of the order. Planning for these is to be started immediately, and is expected to be completed in the spring of 2011.

This is the first external project on which Veidekke has used planning models according to VDC * (Virtual Design and Construction), which transpired to be highly successful. Thanks to the new methodology, planning of systems could be significantly shortened, as participation of all involved - including the developer - could receive updated and data on the project at all phases.
