Veidekke to build 138 homes at Løren in Oslo
Veidekke Entreprenør has signed a contract with Lørenvangen Utvikling AS , which is jointly owned by OBOS Nye Hjem and Veidekke Eiendom, to build the second stage of the Gartnerkvartalet residential development. The stage comprises two buildings with a total of 138 homes, an underground parking garage and retail premises. The total sales value of the homes is approx. NOK 670 million.
Gartnerkvartalet is an extension of the neighbouring Gartnerløkka project, and when completed it will comprise a total of 540 homes in seven blocks of flats built in several stages. The total sales value of the homes in Gartnerkvartalet is around NOK 2.5 billion. Sales have been very good, and the three first buildings are almost sold out. Construction has started for the first two buildings, and here the first residents will move in in the summer of 2018.
The seven blocks of flats will surround a large, sunny courtyard nearly 10,000 square metres in size with bushes, trees and allotment gardens. There is a broad selection of 2, 3, and 4 room flats, where most flats on the ground floor will have spacious terraces, and some with their own garden plot.
As an extension of the green image, live planted walls will cover the entrance areas to enhance both well-being and the indoor environment. As far as we know, this is the first new housing project with such planted walls in Norway.
Good sales at Gartnerkvartalet have accelerated the planning of Lørenvangen Utvikling's next stage at the site at Løren. A framework application for building five has been submitted, and it is currently being presented for sale. Framework applications for buildings 6-8 will be submitted in the summer of 2017.
