The 5-storey school will hold 450 students and 30 administrative staff and lecturers. The emphasis will be on making optimum use of the site at Maridalsveien 17, the so-called Vulkan site. The building has been designed by Kristin Jarmund Arkitekter AS. Its distinctive architecture has been designed to reflect Westerdals’ spirit and values: creativity, courage and being challenging.

Building will start in March and the school will be ready to welcome its first students in autumn 2011.

The contract was signed 130 years to the day after the client’s parent company Anthon B Nilsen AS was founded.
