Veidekke will build the new school pursuant to Undervisningsbygg's floor plan and requirement specification. The school will be owned by Veidekke. The company will also have a general operational responsibility for the building. The tenancy agreement is valid for 25 years with an initital rent of approximately NOK 12 million. At the end of the tenancy period the school and site will be transferred cost free to Undervisningsbygg.

The school has been designed by HWR Arkitekter, represented by Mr. Harald Rønning and has been designed around a modern pedagogical programme consisting of "bases".

The size of the school building is approximately 4,500 m2 over two or, in some parts of the building, three floors. The building fronts will have brick and wood cladding.

Construction has started and the work will be completed by June 2005. The gardening work, however, will continue until school starts in August 2005.
