Veidekke to Build Artificial Grass Fields for NOK 17 million in Bergen

Veidekke Entreprenør AS has signed a contract with the municipality of Bergen for the construction of four artificial grass fields in Åsane and at Stemmemyren in Bergen at a total contract price of NOK 17 million excluding VAT.
At Stemmemyren, Veidekke is building two new sports fields, which will replace the existing fields, and will be built at the same location. The contract covers excavation work, new drainage systems and construction of field surfaces. In addition, new lighting systems will be mounted around the fields.


The contract price is approximately NOK 6 million excluding VAT. The work will be carried out as a turn-key project. Construction has started and will be completed by the end of May 2005.


In Åsane, Veidekke is going to build two large football fields in the vicinity of Vestlandshallen. The contract covers blasting and levelling work as well as construction of new access roads, pathways and field surfaces. New lighting systems will also be mounted.


The contract price is approximately NOK 11 million excluding VAT. The work will be carried out as a turn-key project. Construction start is scheduled for the beginning of February and the work will be completed by summer holidays 2005.
