Veidekke to build for Posten and Bring
Veidekke Entreprenør has won a contract to build yet another logistics centre for Posten and Bring, this time at Vagle in Sandnes outside Stavanger. This is a turnkey contract valued at NOK 167 million, excluding VAT.
The new logistics centre Stavanger will be part of Posten Norge's network of terminals for the handling of mail, parcels and freight. The project in Stavanger totals 15,000 m2 and includes a freight hall, post terminal and administration. This is the third logistics centre Veidekke is building for Posten and Bring. The first two are in Trondheim and Narvik.
"We will carry out this contract in collaboration with Norske Stålbygg AS in Sandefjord, which has extensive expertise with this type of structure. The transfer of experience internally at Veidekke from previous contracts for Posten Norge has been important for us during the tender process, and this proves how we can resolve assignments across the Veidekke group," says district manager Aage Tengs of Veidekke Entreprenør.
"We are both proud and pleased with the confidence Posten Norge has shown in Veidekke by awarding us this contract. The fact that Posten has chosen Veidekke for the third time as contractor to build one of its new terminals, is a vote of confidence we are very pleased with," says general manager Terje Kaasa Larsen with Veidekke's subsidiary Norske Stålbygg concludes.
Construction work will commence in December, and the entire project is scheduled for completion in the beginning of March 2019.
